A Growing Church with A Family Feeling
Adult Fellowship at Epworth UMC

Opportunities Include:

United Methodist Women:
The UMW is open to all women regardless of church affiliation, who want to be in service to Christ and the community. Epworth United Methodist Church currently has three circles of UMW members —
The Seekers
The Lamplighters

Although all share the common goals of fellowship and missions as stated above, each group offers a rather unique purpose and perspective to allow for individual needs.
All groups welcome and encourage new membership. Call the church office (790-6695) for contact people within each circle.

United Methodist Men:
The Epworth United Methodist Men’s group is comprised of men of all age groups within the congregation.

The EUMM exists to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men in all their relationships. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month. Meetings begin a 7:30 a.m. and usually conclude around 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast is served at all meetings.

Groups that are supported by the EUMM include the scouting program and the youth program at Epworth UMC.

Contact persons for the year 2006 include:
Ken Miles,
Frank Sweezey and
Buddy Peden

The Golden Group:

The Golden Group is made up of mature members of our congregation who gather on the fourth Saturday of each month to do a variety of things, and is open to all older adults who are interested in fellowship and special outings.

Contact persons:

The Seekers meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at members’ homes. Programs are built around the work of the denomination in the world, and issues of social concern. Pledges go to the district, conference, and the Women’s Division. Money is raised to support local, conference, national and world missions.

The Lamplightersmeet the first Wednesday of each month, at 7:00pm at the church. This circle combines Bible study, prayer and support for one another, with active hands-on participation and financial aid for local missions. Organizations currently being supported are: Meals on Wheels, Waves, My Friend’s House, Graceworks, Miriam’s Promise, Mountain Top and several individual needs. Childcare at the monthly meetings is provided as needed (Contact the church ahead of time.)
