Intentional Listening
We will strive to discern the will of God for Epworth by waiting, praying, listening, worshiping, and seeking the revelation of
Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

Wonderful Opportunities
This time of year is exciting for those going back to school with the promise of new friends, new settings, and always new opportunities to learn. At Epworth this is also the time for us to begin new Adult/Youth Bible studies which promise all that the beginning of school brings. We are offering three study opportunities this fall on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m., and if enough persons express interest, a morning study either on Thursday or Friday morning. A nursery will be provided on Thursday evening if needed. Studies being offered:
Disciple I, taught by Rev. Chip Hunter which is a 34 week overview of the entire Bible. This is the foundation for other Disciple Bible Studies and offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the Bible as a whole. Many of our congregation have taken this more than once because of the excellent presentation of the Bible as a whole.
Companions in Christ: The Way of Discernment, taught by Velma Bradley. This is an 11 week journey exploring perspectives and practices for personal spiritual discernment. It is the new study suggested by Marjorie Thompson when she spoke to us. This may be also offered on a morning, if there is interest.
The Truth Project: We have postponed starting this study until January 10, 2012. It will be offered on Tuesday nights at 6:30. Hopefully this will allow more people the opportunity to participate. This study lasts 13 weeks. If you are interested, contact Aline Wesley or Kathy Heard.
