Mirror, Mirror  Weekly Devotional, Week 10, 2006

Scripture: "For this is the secret: Christ lives in you."   Colossians 1:27 (NLT)

Application:

Mirror, Mirror on the wall who do I see when I see me?  Look at yourself in the mirror.  Think about what you see.  Now think about what others see when they see you. As we grow in Christ, Christ also grows in us.  Our obligation is to allow Christ to be reflected to others through us.  This is often difficult and we often fail, but if we remember as we move through our day to allow others to see Christ through us, we are moving in the right direction.  Think about all of the ways that you are seen by others - at school, at home, in the mall, at church, on the internet in chat rooms or on myspace.com.  Are you projecting an image of Christ in each of these areas?  It is very easy for us to go with the flow and fit in to the crowd, but in many instances this prevents us from projecting Christ to others.  Think about the scripture as you move through the week.  If Christ is living in you, are you letting others see Him?

Quote:  As we grow in Christ, Christ also grows in us.

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for giving us the ultimate gift of redemption through the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus Christ.  Remind us as we move through our day that Christ is living in us and that in thanks to you, we should share Christ with those we encounter.  Amen
