I’m not ashamed to let you know

I want this light in me to show

Scripture: "And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it" (1 Peter 3:15, NLT).

Application:

You may have seen this happen: A teacher asks a question to the class and several students raise their hands. One student confidently answers "George Washington." "Are you sure?" the teacher asks. Suddenly all confidence has left the student.

As a Christian, at some point or another you will be asked the question, "Why are you different?" Though you may be confident of the answer now, will you be as confident when asked directly? The Bible gives this advice: "And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it" (1 Peter 3:15, NLT).

Take the time to figure out exactly what you would say if someone asked you that question. And when that moment comes, don’t be afraid; God will give you the confidence you need.

Prayer:

Dear God, instill in me the confidence to know that You are always with me and You will give me the strength and courage I need to let others know of Your love. Amen
