Scripture: "As iron sharpens iron, so people
can improve each other."
- Proverbs 27:17
NCV
Application: This is a
powerful scripture. Think about its
meaning. Do you find it is true with you and your friends? We are shaped by
those who we come in contact with throughout our lives. We encounter people daily and those
encounters can either have positives effects or negative effects on us. If we surround ourselves with positive
influences, we are more likely to be shaped positively. How do you influence your friends? Are you a
positive influence or a negative one? Form relationships that will form a
strong foundation for your life, so that in times of trouble you will be able
to withstand the storm.
Quote: Few things are harder to put up with than a
good example.
- Mark (Samuel
Longhorne Clemens) Twain 1835-1910
Prayer: Dear God, help me be an example of your love to those who see me, and that I may see examples of your love in others. Amen
