Devotional Week 3 2006
I think I can....
Scripture: "What do you mean, 'If I can?'", Jesus asked. "Anything is possible if a person believes." Mark 9:23
Application: We all doubt ourselves once in awhile. We all have moments where we don't think we can do something. Think about the times when you felt that way, most likely, you weren't able to do the task. One of the main reasons that we often fail to accomplish things seldom has to do with our ability. Our attitude is either our motivator or our limitor. If we think we can do it, we often do. If we think we can't, we don't. Such is our spiritual life. When we doubt that God has the ability to accomplish something, we are mistaken. God has unlimited power and unlimited ability. Our belief in His love for us makes us stronger. Our belief in the gift He gave us in the form of Jesus Christ, is what gives us hope. Never doubt the gifts that God has given you. You have all you need to accomplish God's plan for your life.
Quote: Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right.
Question: What is it that you are doubting your ability to accomplish?
Prayer: Write and say a prayer that thanks God for the gifts he has given you and for the motivation to use them fully.
