Messages from team members:

July 17th: Hey! We're back in Iringa and will head to Dar in the morning.  Safari yesterday was amazing. I hope to send off a message from Dar before we fly out Saturday nite.

June 30th: Arrived in Iringa after a killer ride (my brain hurts from the bumps).  We saw elephants, baboon, giraffes, impalas, and zebras in the park on the way!!!!! The room in Iringa was a little out of my comfort zone.  It's a step toward total culture shock, I think.  The food's pretty good and there's always rice if you don't like anything else.  The chicken still has feathers on it sometimes. I probably won't have another chance to e-mail until I come back to Iringa on the 17th.  I'll be on safari from the 15th-17th!!!!!  :) We're all getting great pictures to share. I hope you are all doing well.  Tell everyone I love them and I'll e-mail if I get another chance before then!

June 28th: Today has been really nice.  The weather is beautiful in Dar--sunny and breezy by the ocean.  There's no beach but we did wade out in the water a little for a picture.  We've met 2 girls that will be in our team and I was moved to a new room which I will share with Maria--whom I haven't met yet. I had french toast for breakfast and a grilled cheese, fried and a coke for lunch.  I think the fare will change considerably tomorrow. Haran (the local host) is here and will meet with us tonite.  Mohamad is our driver and we've met him, as well.  We meet tonite at 6pm for a meeting and dinner.  I'm not sure what time we leave for Iringa in the morning.

Jambo from Tanzania!
We had a VERY long flight (man, it was LONG!) but arrive safely and with all luggage in tact.  Dar is lovely--there's a nice breeze off the ocean and it's warm and sunny today.  I woke pretty refreshed this morning at 6am (surprisingly, considering) and heard the call to worship from the mosque nearby.  It's very peaceful and slow-paced here--kind of like being in the bahamas but without the drinks.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you and that we feel your prayers with us.

Tutuoanana!
