Epworth "Good News" Newsletter for MAY!

“DIAPER DAY”
When the V.I.M. team from Epworth went to Henderson Settlement, they learned of a ministry titled “M.I.H.O.W.” (Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker). This program follows young mothers through prenatal care, birth and the child through the age of three. They provide monthly visits in the home, transportation for medical appointments and employment services, diapers, baby food, formula, nutritional needs, over the counter medicines, clothing, car seats, high chairs, baby beds, etc. The “M.I.H.O.W.” program is in need of diapers of all sizes. They can only provide 15 diapers per week for a child.

The MissionTeam has designated Mother’s Day as “Diaper Day” for Henderson Settlement. We request that you bring any size diapers to be sent to Henderson Settlement. If you are unable to be here on Mother’s Day, bring them to the church prior to that day. You can put them in the barrel in the Narthex. If you have any questions, you may contact Emily Hudson or Cindy Kurzrock.

The Epworth Communications Committee wants to thank the congregation for their response to our recent survey provided to everyone on March 9. We received 44 surveys back from both church services and 21 online survey responses. We have submitted our recommendations to the Church Council on April 20 and hope to have a summary of action plans back to the congregation sometime in May. There will be copies of the responses in the Narthex for the next two weeks. You can also view them online at the Chuch Council web page. For more information please contact the church office.
